全てハンドメイドで作られたインディンアジュエリーです。こちらのネックレスはズニ族のものになります。
Vintage感があり、雰囲気抜群です♪
通常のシルバーアクセサリーには銀純度を表す「SILVER925」などの刻印がありますが、インディアンジュエリーではsterling」という刻印で表す事が多いです。
「sterling silver」とは元々イギリスの銀貨の事を指す意味ですが、1870年頃からインディアンが銀貨を溶かしてジュエリーに使ったので「sterling」 と言う刻印が使用されました。
現在では昔と同じ製法で銀貨を溶かして使う作家もいますが、通常のシルバー925材を使っているアーティストもいます。
ズニ族の制作するインディアンジュエリーは、ニードルポイント技法、インレイ技法を使用したカラフルなデザインが特徴です。
「インレイ」とははめ込むという意味で、枠の中にターコイズなどの石をはめ込み、表面を磨いて滑らかにしていきます。
中でも、太陽のカチナ（カチナとは神様のこと）をモチーフにしてあるもので、サンゴ石の赤、ジェットストーンの黒、ターコイズの青とマルチカラーの石をインレイして作り上げているものは、とても有名であり逸品です。
「ニードルポイント」とは、針の先という意味で、小さな石を留め金にはめて、花びらが集まった形に組んであるものが、これにあたります。指輪やブレスレットにしたり、つなげてネックレスにしたりしているのが特徴です。
